We have no standard products. All products are customised glass parts, developed in cooperation with customers and to customer specifications. From single pieces and prototypes, to small series in several thousand pieces.
Do you have a product for which you want to use glass parts? Then it makes sense to contact us at an early stage of product development. We will be happy to think along with you about the implementation and the possibilities that glass can offer.
Glass types
Below are the most common types of glass we process.
Float glass
The most widely used flat glass worldwide is float glass. This type of glass is used in construction for window glass, but also in car windows, on boats as windshields, etc. The name refers to the tin bath over which the glass flows (float) after coming out of the melting furnace. We also process this type of glass into curved, toughened or curved-tempered glass. We usually handle glass from 3 mm to 19 mm thickness.
Extra clear glass
Normally, float glass has a slightly green tint. This is especially easy to see from the side of the glass. This green tint is caused by a small amount of iron that was present in the glass melt. Extra clear glass is also a type of float glass, but with much less iron. As a result, the green tint is missing, the glass is beautifully clear and colours appear much more natural behind this glass. We can use this glass in all processes.
Heat-resistant glass
There are many types of heat-resistant glass. Quartz glass and ceramic glass have the highest heat resistance. Borocilicate glass and toughened safety glass are also heat-resistant and can be bent and processed by us.
Safety glass
Safety glass comes in different types: laminated, thermally toughened, chemically toughened, etc. A very common type of safety glass is toughened glass. Contrary to what the name suggests, the glass is not harder than ordinary glass. However, it is 5 times stronger. And more resistant to high temperatures. It is made by heating ordinary float glass and cooling it rapidly in a controlled manner. We make safety glass in small sizes and curved safety glass in sizes up to approx. 40x80cm and in thicknesses from 4mm to 12mm.
Borocilicate glass
This glass is inherently resistant to high temperatures of up to 450 to 500°C. It is also harder than float glass and with the absence of the green glow, it has good optical properties. Well-known brand names include Pyrex® oven dishes and Borofloat® glass plates. Most glass processing operations can also be applied to borocilicate glass. These include bending, printing, grinding, sawing, arcing and sandblasting. Borocilicate glass cannot be tempered.
We use a lot of tube and rod material made of borocilicate glass. This can be machined well by sawing and grinding. Processing in the flame is called lamp work, which allows the glass to be deformed and allows us to finish the ends smooth and shiny by flame polishing.

Is your colour not commercially available? Contact us, as in many cases we can produce the glass exactly to your colour by screen printing or spraying.
